We are Manolis and Kostas Romanakis the Romanakia, who we are called in Crete, our country of originin. We would like to say a few words of our course.
We were origin born in Iraklion, Crete and we were raised in our fragrants and receipes of the Cretan cuisine. For many years, our father George Romanakis ran a restaurant in Crete and so we acquired the passion which is called love for culinary and Cretan cuisine.
We have worked in many restaurants as professionals and have prepared many dishes of several cusines all over the world, but in our hearts the cretan cusine has won ours hearts.
Our greatest dream is we managed to establish our restaurant, where we have been able to prepare and create dishes from geninue cretan ingredients cooked with passion and in the traditional way. And eventually we have accomplished it.
We have prepared a genuine traditional restaurant in Agia Paraskevi, a place which stands out for its warmth, its hospitality and good food.
Whatever time of day or night you come you will include in the warm cretan food, traditional recipes accompanied with homemade “raki” and good wine.
We don’t forget our customs and traditions of our homeland and so every Tuesday we put the clock back , when the olive-oil lamp was shimmering as we ate made the it. The olive oil lamp nights. Because we are true cretans every Wednesday we celebrate as we know how, with traditional live cretan music to a distinguished Cretan night.
So let’s click our glasses and forget ourselves in the thousand tastes of the big island.
